Manufacture de Sarreguemines Eugène-Martial Simas, Ceramic panels
Former facades of the restaurant "le petit zinc" which was also "l'assiette au beurre" in Paris.
Manufactured by the Sarreguemines factory in 1900 by Eugène Martial Simas (1862-1939).
Each panel is 160 cm high and 60 cm wide and consists of 44 glazed earthenware tiles (rosewood frame).
A detailed study on the work of Mr. Simas was written by Constance Desanti for "les cahiers de l'École du Louvre".

Working in close collaboration with the Sarreguemines factory, his creations adorned brasseries (Mollard in Paris, La Cigale in Nantes), railway stations such as Tours, private villas, the Paris Opera, the Comédie française, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.....
Finally, his works are exhibited almost every year at the Salon de la Société nationale des beaux-arts and at the 1900 Universal Exhibition
