Beautiful Dan/wé ritual spoon from Libéria, Ivory Coast.

 

Presenting a bowl with a beveled back, decorated with rows of geometrical lines.
A cylindrical ringed neck supporting a female human head characteristic of the style with a face with fine features, slit eyes, straight nose, the mouth in relief decorated with small teeth inserted in pewter (or aluminium), the hairstyle in fiber.

 

Beautiful black used patina.
