Songye seat (Democratic Republic of Congo) beautiful caryatid of a female figure, head projected forward slightly prognathic, nose, eyes and eyebrows made from a single incision (technical rarity)
Arms raised with hands holding the upper part of the seat on each side.
Slightly marked breasts, short straight legs, marked sex, buttocks with tool markings, large feet serving as stability for the seat, marked fingers
Cubist and surrealist ensemble at the same time.
Dark patina on the upper half of the piece and lighter feet on the legs
These rare seats, objects of prestige, were only rarely used for special occasions by notables or village leaders;
