Very nice neck rest in the shape of an animal with large udders. The Dinkas are nomadic shepherds, in permanent contact with their livestock, so it is normal to see this symbolic representation in their daily object. This neck rest also reminds us of the she-wolf of Remus and Romulus
Seen as symbols of social position, the neck rests serve to underline the differences between the chiefs and the men.
Some play the role of a "bridge" linking the owner to his ancestors or to divine forces.
Neck rests are part of the composition of the dowry and are present in all ceremonies.
