Female wooden statuette from the Ivory Coast.
Eugène Betra Pedestal.
Archaic statue but with a face of great refinement, forming a heart between the eyebrows and the chin, thin mouth slightly forward nose and mouth of a great finesse, curved forhead and conical cap, stocky legs resting on a round base.
Bust with hanging breasts, arms at the sides coming back on the lower abdomen, marked shoulder blades, scarifications on the back of the neck. Grace and hieratism in this piece.
