Remarkable copy of a wallpaper representing a panoramic decoration of views of North America, an identical on (probably from the same bath) is in the White House’s reception room of the diplomats in Washington, produced by the Manufacture Zuber & Company, last manufacture to produce panoramic decorations by sculpted wooden planks.

Everything is exceptional in this piece, made with 1690 old wooden planks, carved in 1834 by the workers of the factory, still preserved and today classified as Historical Monuments by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.

Of exceptional dimensions (32 strips with a total height of 3.90 m, printing width: 0.47 m for a development of 15.04 m with a connection of width 32 to width 1), this decoration is just as much by its history, until the woman who fixed its current aspect since it is about Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, better known under the name of Jackie Kennedy.

Prior to his arrival at the White House in 1961, this motif adorned the walls of the Jones House in Maryland. Unfortunately replaced by a grocery store, this precious wall covering was saved and sold at the White House.

The copy now on sale by the ORIGINES Gallery is intact, never installed or glued, in an exemplary state of conservation.
