Rare pair of veranda posts from the Yoruba people in Nigeria. 

They represent a bearded male figure, holding a gun and a sceptre in each hand. 

High inverted hairstyle with a braid falling down the neck. Medicine bottle and other elements in relief. 

These poles certainly decorated the house of a chief. 

Eroded patina.
