Ernest Bussière (1863-1913)
"Artichoke" Vase - This vase is one of the 29 ceramics known as "vegetal" in the exhibition bearing the dual signature of Keller and Guérin Lunéville and Bussière.
Like the others, it is part of a collection dominated by the organic plasticity of vegetal forms with a matte and shiny glass skin, craftsmanship that has been lost.
Ernest Bussière was a sculptor who worked on important monuments in several cities. This ceramic work is a departure from his sculptural work.
