Massimo Iosa Ghini, born on June 18, 1959 in Bologna, is a renowned Italian architect, designer, and professor. He studied architecture in Florence before continuing his education at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan. Early on, his passion for illustration and design led him to explore innovative styles, actively participating in major Italian design movements, notably neo-bolidism, which emphasizes visual aesthetics and formal expression.
In 1981, his bold creations attracted the attention of the Memphis Group, a Milan-based collective famous for challenging traditional design conventions. This success marked the beginning of an international career, leading him to undertake significant projects in Italy, the United States, and Russia. His works, combining organic elegance and subtlety, reflect a multidisciplinary approach where art, design, and architecture converge.
In 1990, together with his wife Milena Mussi, he founded the firm Iosa Ghini Associati in Milan, which is distinguished by its residential, commercial, and public space projects. At the same time, Iosa Ghini shares his expertise by teaching at several renowned universities, notably Sapienza in Rome, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Ferrara. His futuristic style is also reflected in his furniture collection, consolidating his reputation as a pioneer in the field of contemporary design.
