Model "Type 43"

Modernist desk lamp made of cut aluminum blades, ebonite, and Bakelite, featuring an adjustable hemispherical shade.

Signed with a stylus: "JLC 1986."

This model was exhibited at the 21st Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1928, as well as in the D.I.M. store in 1929. Robert Mallet-Stevens selected it for the decor of Delza's jeweler shop. An identical model is part of the collections of the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.

The model we present was likely created by Élisabeth Fouché under the direction of Jacques Le Chevallier in 1986 for the exhibition organized in 1987 by Maxime Defert at the MC2 Gallery, located at 22 Place St-André-des-Arts, 75006 Paris.
