Married to the daughter of Emile Bernard, he had his own gallery in Venice in 1921 and then became a professor of drawing and modeling at the Higher School of Architecture in Hanoi.
He traveled to India, Spain, Africa ... with his drawing board and was exhibited in many galleries including the Charpentier Gallery in Paris.
