CLAUDE PARENT (1923-2016) – FROM AN IMPORTANT WORK BY THE ARCHITECT FOR A MODERN PRIVATE MANSION IN NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE
A model specially designed and created exclusively for the private mansion of Mr. and Mrs. X. Manufactured by Ateliers Saint-Jacques.
Exceptional and significant dining table.
Each of the two legs is a half-cylinder resting on stepped half-discs made of chromed metal; the crossbar simulates a stylized knot executed in chromed metal with two finishes, matte and glossy.
The tabletop, with curved and offset ends, is veneered in Macassar ebony, featuring a prominent table runner in chromed metal, echoing the crossbar, with matte and glossy finishes. The thick skirt is accented with chromed metal corner brackets.
Set of 8 modernist armchairs.
The structures are made of square-section tubular chromed metal and Macassar ebony veneer.
The armrests are veneered in Macassar ebony.
The backs are upholstered in parchment.
The seats and backs retain their original beige leather upholstery.
Each chair back is adorned with a motif of a metal segment and disc (4 open and 4 closed).
